#Interview Andreea Moisa: I find inspiration in people I know

Acolada Design is an architectural and interior designr where the emphasis is on responsibility to the community. So, as Andreea Moisa, the coordinating architect, tells us, everything she creates Acolada Design it is a sign of respect for what surrounds us, so that everything is more beautiful and elegant.

Regardless of the client we address, from the country or abroad, on site or online, the projects addressed by Acolada Design they follow the same steps and together achieve the desired result, because design and architecture speak the language of good taste all over the world.

Because we have a collaboration with Andrea Moisa a long time ago, we asked her to answer a few questions about her profession and how she came to collaborate with Elegance Decoration:

What is Acolada Design?

Acolada Design means more than architecture or interior designit is a team of enthusiasts who invest a lot of energy in creating beautiful and practical spaces, adapted to the real needs of contemporary man.

What architectural style do you think captures your personality or defines you best?

Mid Century Modern – Because mid-century modern interior design elements include clean lines, muted tones, a mix of natural and artificial materials, graphic shapes, bold colors, and the integration of interior and exterior patterns.

Which international architects inspire you and why?

Philip Johnson and Shigeru Ban – I found in them the same concern for man and the environment that guides me, for architecture whose main goal is to understand the person who will live in this space, for the harmonious integration of architecture into the environment in which we live.

How is a project, an architecture/design concept born?

It is a process that requires patience and openness on the part of the beneficiaries, with the first stages of information being decisive for the final result. From establishing the needs and wishes of each member of the family and transposing them functionally and aesthetically, to choosing the most beautiful decorative details and implementing the project on site, each step has its role in creating a viable and personalized concept.

What are the obstacles you encounter most often and how do you overcome them?

Sometimes the beneficiaries’ reluctance to accept more daring, unique ideas, which reflect their personality and meet their desires. Other times, budgetary constraints. In the first situation, with patience and by making renderings as faithful to reality as possible, we can take them out of the comfort of a correct layout, but without too much originality.

In the second case, we seek to get as close as possible to the desired atmosphere, seeking to combine materials, finishes, accent decorations with more neutral elements, thus managing to balance the budget and meet the requirements of our clients (both financial and aesthetic).

There are solutions to every situation, as long as you do not want a certain arrangement that is incompatible with the space or budget allocated.

What do you enjoy most about finishing a project?

The delight and joy of the beneficiaries can be seen on their faces, the smile and the sparkle in their eyes that we have achieved exactly what they wanted or even that we have exceeded their expectations. Everything can be achieved when we establish from the start with clarity and transparency everything we are going to do.

If you had to describe the profession of architect/designer in just 3 words, what would they be?

Stimulating. Applicant. Delicious.

How did you come to collaborate with Elegance Décor?

We were looking for products that would best enhance the developments carried out by our designers and architects. At Elegance Décor we found the decorative elements we needed for our projects in order to bring personality and color to the spaces we created. I used it successfully decorative profileborders, rosettes and decorative panels.

What is the first word that comes to mind when you think of working with Elegance Décor?

Professionalism. We discovered that we share a common vision of interior design and the role it plays in our clients’ lives: transforming every house into a HOME with an emphasis on quality and good taste.

About Andreea Moisa & Acolada Design

Andreea Moisa firmly believes that there is no architect who has gone through all these difficult years of university, internship and early career without loving people and without caring about the happiness of those who will live in the houses he designed.
Whether it is the architecture of a commercial building, the development of a garden or the interior design of a house at Acolada Design, all procedures are done together, like a family, with understanding and respect for all opinions. The working vision being from the inside out, that is to say “first with the soul and then with the eyes”.
